Miami Dade College offers various scholarship opportunities for new, continuing, returning, and transfer students. Scholarship eligibility can be based on factors such as program of study, community service, extracurricular activities, residency, campus/club organization, financial need, veteran, etc.
By submitting the MDC General Scholarship Application, you have the chance to be matched with one out of 300+ available scholarship opportunities. All students are invited to apply for the scholarships we offer, so whether domestic, international or DACA.
Students must enroll in at least 6 degree-seeking credits for each term a scholarship is awarded. The scholarship award can only be used at MDC and is non-transferable.

Alpha Delta Kappa was founded by Agnes Shipman Robertson, Marie Neal, Marion Southall and Hattie Poppino, visionary women who saw a need to recognize and support the professional efforts of outstanding women educators. The Benjamin Leon School of Nursing has been awarded the Line Grant, which creates scholarships for students enrolled in an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN) program. Our goal is to help nursing students in financial need achieve their educational goal of becoming a nurse and furthering their nursing career. Funds will be paid through Miami Dade College, and student enrollment is required.

Established in 1955, public relations pioneer Everett “Ev” Clay was a founding member of the Public Relations Society of America’s Miami (PRSA) chapter. In 1985, PRSA Miami Chapter established an endowed scholarship fund in Ev Clay’s memory to provide assistance to promising South Florida public relations students who demonstrate academic performance, aptitude and financial need. The Community Foundation is honored to administer the Ev Clay Endowed Scholarship.
The MDC Kick-Start Scholarship covers the cost of Eligible College Credit Certificate Programs. Scholarships will be distributed on a first come first served basis, as long as the student follows the instructions they will receive and completes the necessary paperwork.
Scholarship for Miami-Dade County residents that enroll in tech courses in the fall, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, internet of things, app development and more.
The Business Entrepreneurship Startup Venture Specialist College Credit Certificate Program, is only 12 credits and is designed to prepare students to open their own business. In-state tuition scholarships and book stipends are available.
Get Child Care cost assistance with the CCAMPIS (Child Care Access Means Parents in School) Voucher Program. The program is available to low-income students with children under the age of 5. CCAMPIS participants receive childcare assistance at a nationally accredited, pre-approved childcare center. Our goal is to increase access to post-secondary education for MDC student parents by providing quality, affordable, and accessible childcare services while they further their education.
To be eligible for CCAMPIS, you must:
•be a degree-seeking student at MDC
•have received a Pell Grant Award for the term
•be enrolled in at least 6 credits,
•have a minimum GPA of 2.0 while maintaining good academic standing
• and have children under the age of 5
The program is open to U.S. citizens, refugees, or permanent residents at the time of application. CCAMPIS participants must select one of the approved childcare centers located in Miami-Dade County. Interested parents are encouraged to submit the Child Care Assistance Application as soon as possible as space availability can be limited. This educational funding is for Florida National Guard soldiers and airmen. The Educational Dollars for Duty (EDD) program provides up to 100% public tuition for the period of the Guard member’s service once he or she becomes eligible, and as long as funding is available. Funds can be used toward a technical certificate, associates, baccalaureate or master’s degree. Unlike Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA), EDD pays the entire semester hour rate for tuition at all accredited learning institutions with “brick and mortar” locations in Florida.

Scholarship is open to all MDC students enrolled in a minimum of one (1) three-credit hour course. Recipients must hold an EdFed Credit Union membership in good standing and have opened an EdFed account no later than six months prior to the date of the drawing. Each month, EdFed Credit Union will randomly select a winner to receive a $1,500 scholarship. This new scholarship can help make college more affordable for MDC students by covering transportation, housing, and other living expenses not supported by academic scholarships.
Through rent-free housing and cooperative living, Southern Scholarship Foundation supports students who lack financial resources, demonstrate excellent academic merit, and exemplify good character attend institutions of higher education.
Since 1955, SSF has helped students achieve their dreams of attending their choice university through our partnerships at Florida Gulf Coast University, University of Florida, Santa Fe College, Florida State University, Florida A&M University, and Tallahassee Community College. While SSF does not provide monetary-based scholarships, we offer rent-free homes located near our partner institutions. We currently have 26 homes statewide and serve 470 students.
This fellowship awards $5,000 in summer legal fellowships to allow law students to have some financial support while gaining valuable experience during unpaid public service, government, non-profit, or judicial summer internships. Summer Fellowships allow the Fellows to build meaningful relationships within the legal community.
The Venture Miami Scholarship Fund offers tuition assistance by providing gap funding for eligible City residents. who have been accepted into STEM or defined demand occupation programs at participating colleges and universities, which currently include Florida International University, Florida Memorial University, Miami-Dade College, and the University of Miami.
The Alan R. Epstein ‘Reach for the Stars’ Scholarship, established by the Epstein family, serves as a tribute to the life of an exceptional young man, tragically lost in a car accident. This scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated resilience in overcoming life’s challenges.
The Future Lawyers Scholarship established by international law firm, DRRT, will provide financial support to a first-year law student as they explore their interest in law school. The awardee will receive a $5,000 scholarship for three years of law studies along with an opportunity to intern and attend events at DRRT. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate financial need, must be a resident of Miami-Dade or Broward counties, and be admitted to an ABA-accredited law school.
The Aronovitz Family partnered with The Miami Foundation to honor the memory of the late Judge Sidney M. Aronovitz. Judge Aronovitz stood as an example for the community, excelling in his chosen profession and always thinking of those less fortunate than himself. Scholarships are awarded to Miami-Dade County minority students planning to continue their education through the university-level and pursue a career related to the legal field or social-justice issues.
The Related Group established this fund to assist students with high aspirations who live or have immediate family in Liberty Square and Lincoln Gardens. Scholarship recipients may pursue their future goals by supporting their post-secondary education through a college degree or a career-path vocational/technical certification program.
The Ortega Foundation established The Ortega Foundation Scholarship Program in honor of its founder Jose Antonio Ortega, Sr. Jose Antonio strongly believed in giving academically accomplished individuals the opportunity to pursue a college education. Scholarships are awarded to Miami-Dade County high school seniors with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
The residences of the Grove at Grand Bay established the GGB “Boost” Scholarship to honor and support educational opportunities for GGB employees, GGB employee family members and special young members of the Miami Community who are members of the Boys and Girls Club of Miami. Scholarships are awarded to GGB employees, GGB family members and Boys and Girls Club of Miami students seeking to pursue a college education, vocational education programs, and continuing education certification programs to enhance their career opportunities. Students may re-apply after their first year for a maximum of two years
The Give Kids a Chance Scholarship was established by Brian McDonough, Esq. to support children of lower-income families. Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors desiring to continue their education but need additional financial assistance to do so. Recipients are eligible for additional awards given they maintain full-time status and meet academic requirements.
CAP, Inc. awards scholarships to Miami-Dade County Public High School graduates who have exhausted all avenues of financial assistance (federal, state, and institutional) but still have significant unmet needs to attend the college of their choice.
The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. In order to do our part we are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible regardless of the sport they are engaged in or the capacity in which they participate. Welcome to the UNCF scholarships, programs, internships and fellowships website. UNCF manages various scholarship programs and each program has its own eligibility criteria, open/close dates and required documentation. To apply for a UNCF scholarship, you must apply through the on-line application process. As many of the UNCF scholarships require that the scholarship recipient apply for Federal Student Aid, it is recommended that applicants complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Our tuition reimbursement program not only covers traditional graduate and undergraduate degree-seeking students in appropriate areas of study, it also covers some individual courses, online programs, and technical training. CSPI is a program designed for motivated individuals who demonstrate a high caliber of academic and leadership excellence and who desire to serve their country in the United States Coast Guard. Students currently enrolled, accepted for enrollment or pending enrollment in a full-time bachelor's degree program at designated college or institution (defined in item 6 below) with the desire to complete college and receive a guaranteed commission as an officer in the United States Coast Guard can apply for CSPI. This means that a student currently pursuing an AA/AS degree at a junior college or community college who plans to continue with their BS/BA degree may be eligible for CSPI if they are accepted for enrollment at a qualifying college.
Eligible students and parents can enter for the chance to win a scholarship. Throughout the year, 12 winners will be randomly selected to receive a $5,000 Discover® Student Loans Scholarship Award to help cover college expenses.
The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity. To be eligible for the Gilman Program, applicants must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant during the time of application or provide proof that they will be receiving a Pell Grant during the term of their study abroad program or internship. The Institute of International Education has administered the program since its inception in 2001.
