The Health Care Services Specialist certificate program prepares students for employment as a Health Care Services professional. This program is for the individuals seeking entry-level employment as a health care professional responsible for part of the operations of the medical office or provide individuals with supplemental training in a previous or current health occupation.

Program Details

The Health Care Services Specialist Certificate is a streamlined 27 credit program created for students who want to begin working in healthcare sooner. You’ll take targeted courses that teach you the modern tools and technologies used in today’s medical offices, preparing you for a role that blends people skills, problem solving, and leadership.

Medical office managers are the backbone of a healthcare practice. They coordinate daily operations, manage budgets, maintain supplies and ensure that policies and procedures support both patients and staff. This program also equips you with a strong understanding of insurance regulations and payment systems knowledge that is essential in any healthcare setting.

When you’re ready to take the next step, your certificate credits transfer directly into the A.S. Health Science degree (Health Services Management track), giving you a clear path for future advancement.
