Please be respectful. The lab staff is here to help you in whatever way we can. In return, we ask that you be respectful and courteous.
Turn off cell phones and beepers before entering the lab or set them on vibrate. This means you are concerned about contributing to a positive learning atmosphere.
Be patient! We have many students who need our assistance. Allow us time to respond to you.
MDC ID is required to log-in to the lab.
Academic dishonesty. The Lab adheres to the rules and procedures regarding Academic dishonesty as provided in MDC Procedure #4074. The results for cheating or other forms of academic dishonesty may include a grade of "F", academic probation, suspension, and/or dismissal from the College. Notify the lab staff when leaving the lab while you are still working on an assignment. If you do not return within 10 minutes, you will be logged out.
Printing is not allowed in the lab.
Unauthorized Internet access is prohibited. Please ask a staff member for special permission to use the Internet for class related purposes only. You can pick up personal email in the Campus Computer Courtyard.
Keep your work area clean and push your chair in when leaving.
No guests allowed (including children). This is a College policy.
If the lab is full to its capacity, students will be limited to two(2) hours on the computer. Students will be asked to sign a waiting list or to come back at another time.
No food or beverages are allowed in the lab. Please do not eat or drink around the computers.
It is always EXTREMELY CROWDED during the last week of the semester, and students may not be able to do all the work they would like to do then (completing hours, finishing the Reviews, etc). Students should pace themselves accordingly in order to complete the required hours and Reviews.
Students are expected to follow all established lab policies or they may be logged out and asked to leave.
