What Is Check My Activity?

Blackboard Course Menu

You can now check your Blackboard activity from within all Blackboard courses and compare it against your course peers.

To access “Check My Activity” look for the Course Information menu on the left hand side of the course page. Find Check My Activity and click. Check My Activity will pop up as a separate page. You may have to adjust it’s size to fit on your screen.

Why Should I Use It?

We know that students who chose to regularly check their activity in an online class are twice as likely to earn a grade of C or higher in that class, and that students with high levels of course activity in an online class are not only more likely to pass, but have been seen to achieve a half-grade higher in subsequent classes that require it.

Activity Compared to Other Students

Blackboard Graph

Each day the data is updated to reflect the previous day’s activities. The line graphs show information based on weeks in the course. The word “Your” in these reports means “you” as a student in this course. Your name will appear on the top of the report. You are the only one who can access this report. Your instructor does not have access to this report but can obtain this information in different reports.
